AMiNiMA is a visual and musical poem that combines song, rhythm and dance
movement. Two musicians question what makes us human and our close link to
nature. The body games, sounds and materials resonate with the sensory and essential state of early childhood. By opening the doors of perception to the imagi-
nary, music emerges from movement, sound and voice from gesture. This site-specific performance interacts with both its audience and the space in which it takes place. Young and old alike are invited to join us for an artistic experi-
ence that transcends age and culture, revealing what connects us all.
This project is inspired by the landscapes of Réunion Island and its rich marine and
terrestrial flora and fauna.
The French Company PORTE-VOIX creates musical theatre performances that are
part of a multidisciplinary research mixing voice, rhythm, movement, images. It has
developed a sensory and poetic language inspired by how early children behave
and interact, and driven by both a philosophical and aesthetic matter: humanity’s
relationship to nature.
