Gaëtane Reginster's biography:
Gaëtane disovered La Guimbarde as a journalist. At a nusery, with her young daughter in her arms, she watched Ombres et Lumières, the first theater performance created for babies in French-speaking Belgium. It was a unique, important moment. She joined the company in 2004, initially talking on the promotion of the theater and the Pépites festival.

As an artist, Gaëtane draws her inspiration from Africa, from the depths of the red earth and the echoes of its sounds. In 2013, she conceived Roi d'Argile, a play for toddlers created in collaboration with the Théâtre Eclair in Ouagadougou. This was followed by Taama, a song for children aged one year and older on the theme of exile, and Tiébélé, a tribute to the woman who paint the walls of their homes in Burkina Faco. In her new show Walangaan (which means "that which flows" in Wolof), on the theme of water, she directs two artists from Senegal. In her creations, she seeks to attune the world of young children to the beauty - however harsh it may be - of the world, music, voice, gestures, and bodies of other people. Her next project, Yaaba, will focus on grandmothers here and there.

In addition to directing the troupe, she teaches artistic training courses for preschool professionals and designs sensory exploration workshops.
